The Armed Forces Qualification Test (AFQT) score determines your eligibility to enlist. It's derived from four ASVAB subtests: Arithmetic Reasoning (AR), Mathematics Knowledge (MK), Word Knowledge (WK), and Paragraph Comprehension (PC). Scores range from 1–99 and represent your percentile rank against a nationally representative sample. A score of 50 means you scored higher than 50% of that reference group.
Army: 31 | Marines: 32 | Navy: 35 | Air Force: 36 | Space Force: 36 | Coast Guard: 40. Higher scores unlock more career options and signing bonuses.
Line scores are combinations of ASVAB subtest scores used to qualify for specific jobs. For example, the Army's GT (General Technical) score = VE + AR. The Navy's Nuclear Field score = AR + MK + EI + GS. Each branch has its own line score formulas and requirements.
The ASVAB has 10 subtests. Your raw score on each is converted to a standard score with a mean of 50 and standard deviation of 10. These are then combined into line scores and the AFQT composite.
Yes. You must wait 1 month after the initial test, 1 month after the first retest, and 6 months for all subsequent retests. Your most recent score is used — not your highest — so prepare thoroughly before retesting.
The ASVAB Score Analyzer is our AI-powered tool that reads your official ASVAB score report (uploaded as a photo or PDF), extracts your subtest scores, calculates your AFQT, identifies which branches and jobs you qualify for, and builds a personalized study plan.

JPEG, PNG, and PDF formats. The image should be clear and well-lit. If the AI cannot extract scores accurately, you can enter them manually.
Our AI achieves 95%+ accuracy on clearly photographed score reports. Blurry, rotated, or partially cut-off images may reduce accuracy. Review all extracted scores before confirming.
